Dear Parents of K-1, K-2, 1-1 & 1-2:
Today, I showed the School House Rock videos in English class. The purpose was to introduce and review grammar with your children. We heard songs, saw cartoons that explained: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions and interjections. The kids really enjoyed watching it. I had them repeat in English what they saw and even the children from Kindergarten remembered many of the characters in the video.
I was very impressed with how much they retain when exposed to educational videos. I will continue to use this visual tool which enhances learning while having fun.
Overall, they had a good day today in English class. Please remember to pack Unit 3 books for 1-1 and 1-2 classes as we will continue reading on Monday. Have a great weekend! - Mrs. Soto ;-)
